During Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh, Rotom makes its debut appearance, and currently, the only way to encounter it is through Timed Research associated with the event.
The Ghost in the Machine Timed Research will be accessible globally for all players from Feb. 16 to 25. Initially, you’ll need to input a secret code, which was unveiled live to players at Go Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles, to unlock the research. Subsequently, you can proceed to complete the tasks and earn an encounter with Rotom. Moreover, there is a chance of encountering a Shiny Rotom.
Every other form of Rotom released in Pokémon Go thus far has been linked exclusively to events or Go Snapshot content.
