WoW SoD | How to get to Stranglethorn Vale

In the second phase of WoW Classic Season of Discovery, the new central questing hub will be Stranglethorn Vale. Renowned for its extensive level range and reputation for world PvP, Stranglethorn Vale is one of the most infamous and beloved zones in World of Warcraft.

During phase two of SoD, Stranglethorn will offer quests ranging from levels 25 to 45, perfectly aligning with the next level bracket. Additionally, the zone will host the new Blood Moon PvP event, akin to the Battle for Ashenvale event from phase one.

To fully experience phase two content, it’s advisable to reach Stranglethorn Vale as soon as possible, especially if you haven’t already done so. In this zone, you’ll encounter numerous experience-rich quests and discover the new endgame player hub, Booty Bay. Regardless of your faction, reaching Stranglethorn Vale (STV) is relatively straightforward. Here’s how you can do it in phase two of WoW Classic SoD:

How to get to Stranglethorn Vale as Alliance in WoW Classic

For Alliance players, entering Stranglethorn Vale typically occurs via its northern entrance. This entrance is located just off the road leading out of Duskwood. If you’re traveling along the main road in Duskwood, head south when you see the signs indicating the direction towards STV. Follow this road to the Rebel Camp in northern Stranglethorn, where you can initiate the Colonel Kurzen quest chain. To reach Booty Bay, continue along the main road traversing Stranglethorn Vale.

How to get to Stranglethorn as a Horde player

Horde players have an easier route to Stranglethorn Vale, as there’s a boat directly to the zone’s capital, Booty Bay, located in Ratchet within the Barrens. It’s a natural progression for Horde players to take the boat from Ratchet to Booty Bay while leveling in the Barrens. If you haven’t already visited Booty Bay during phase one, it’s straightforward to reach it from one of your primary leveling zones in Kalimdor.
