One notable addition in this phase is the reappearance of the Druid Rune, Berserk. A highly potent buff, all Druids will desire to incorporate Berserk into their arsenal, but unlocking it requires a significant journey. Here’s the process to unlock the Berserk Rune for Druids in WoW Classic: SoD.
How to unlock the Berserk Rune in WoW Classic: SoD?
To acquire the Berserk Rune in WoW Classic, you must locate the Beastly Effigy and defeat the adversary Zai’enki. Several prerequisites must be met: you must be a Druid, attain at least level 28, and learn the Challenging Roar ability, as it is essential for summoning Zai’enki.
If you meet the aforementioned criteria, venture to the south of Splithoof Crag in the Thousand Needles, at coordinates 69, 55, just before reaching the salt flats. Here, you’ll encounter the Beastly Effigy, resembling a statue overseeing a mountain range. Identification of the Beastly Effigy is confirmed when you receive its buff. Upon receiving the buff, cast Challenging Roar near the statue to summon Zai’enki.
Defeating Zai’enki will yield the Idol of the Heckler, which can be engraved onto your belt. However, this is not the end of the journey; you’ll need five stacks of Inspiration to fully unlock the Rune. To accumulate Inspiration, utilize Challenging Roar to taunt at least two enemies, then eliminate them before the effect dissipates.
Once you’ve dispatched five taunted targets, the process is complete, and the Berserk ability becomes accessible for use.
What does the Berserk Rune do in WoW Classic: SoD?
The Berserk Rune bestows Druids with the Berserk Instant ability, a buff that empowers the Mangle (Bear) ability to cleave up to three targets and reduces its cooldown to zero. Additionally, it slashes the energy cost of your Cat Form abilities by 50 percent. This buff endures for 15 seconds, providing ample time to unleash Mangle and Cat Form maneuvers.
Berserk also dispels the Fear debuff from your character and renders you immune to Fear for the duration of the buff. However, bear in mind its three-minute cooldown; it is a potent buff that requires strategic timing rather than indiscriminate use.
