During phase two of the Season of Discovery, particularly the Cathedral wing of the Scarlet Monastery, should be approached akin to an endgame dungeon. With the second level band of SoD concluding around level 40, it aligns almost perfectly with the level range required to venture into the Scarlet Monastery.
Before delving into the Scarlet Monastery, it’s crucial to ensure you’ve acquired all the associated quests. Several objectives revolve around the Scarlet Monastery, and having these quests in your log maximizes your efficiency when confronting the Scarlet Crusade. Unlike other dungeons with a set of quests completable in one run, you’re likely to revisit the Scarlet Monastery multiple times due to its nature and the span of its four wings.

In addition, Mage players can complete the Rituals of Power quest inside the Scarlet Monastery Library. Similar to many other quests in the Library, Rituals of Power tasks Mages with finding a book for Tabetha, the NPC pivotal to the quest chain through which Mages obtain their rare quality, spec-specific wand. This quest requires at least level 30 to complete.
We advise reaching at least level 34 before embarking on Scarlet Monastery quests. There’s little worse than shuttling between major capitals and the Monastery, sporadically completing quests between runs. It’s more efficient to complete all quests across the instance’s four wings in a single dungeon run.
