Before you can find the Quetzalcoatl in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you must first obtain specific information about it. This data can only be gathered by scanning the Grasslands Mako Lifesprings. Don’t fret about their whereabouts, as they’ll gradually appear on your map with each Tower scan. The icon resembles what I’ve highlighted below.
Eventually, Chadley will notify you that he has enough data to pinpoint a nearby Quetzalcoatl nest. It’s located here.
The Quetzalcoatl is a formidable opponent you shouldn’t confront until you’ve completed the events in Mythril Mine. It’s also less challenging if you boost your level to 20 on Easy/Normal difficulty. Upon defeating it, the Quetzalcoatl Talon will drop, but you can also Steal it for an additional copy!
This adversary is a potent but sluggish bird. It’s vulnerable to Ice. Bring Barret along so you can target it effectively when it takes to the air.
