Tomb Raider Next | New design of Lara Croft been revealed

The new website dedicated to Tomb Raider may have unveiled the “updated” appearance of Lara Croft, the iconic video game heroine making a comeback with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, now available.

Discovered by members of ResetEra, a fresh artwork featuring Lara Croft was directly distributed by Crystal Dynamics to registered users on the Tomb Raider portal. This officially released material could potentially indicate or correspond to the final design we might see in the upcoming installment of the series.

Analyzing the artwork, it appears that Crystal Dynamics has managed to blend elements from the original Lara Croft design with that of the more recent trilogy crafted by the US-based development studio. Lara’s depiction closely resembles her appearance in the crossover event between Tomb Raider and Call of Duty, where she ventured onto the battlefield of the Activision shooter.

Currently, it remains uncertain whether this artwork reflects the definitive look of the new Lara Croft. Fans must patiently await Crystal Dynamics’ official announcement regarding the new Tomb Raider installment developed in Unreal Engine 5.
