Skull and Bones | How to get Fine Hemp

Ingredient gathering plays a significant role in Skull and Bones, even for the most skilled pirates who must resort to harvesting raw materials to enhance ship components.

The gathering system here appears simple initially but becomes counterintuitive soon. In most crafting games, raw materials are mass-combined to craft new items, often with various quality tiers. Skull and Bones presents a variation, making acquiring items like Fine Hemp seem more challenging than it is.

While ores are refined into Ingots, the process of refining Hemp into Fine Hemp may seem peculiar. To obtain Fine Hemp, or any other Fine Fiber type, you require the regular version of that Fiber. Then, take it to the Refiner shop in Sainte-Anne for refinement into a Fine material.

Tracking Fine Hemp on the map isn’t possible, but you don’t need to; instead, focus on tracking Hemp.

Acquiring Hemp is akin to obtaining any other Raw Material. Navigate to the Knowledge tab, select Codex, then Raw Materials. Choose Hemp to track it on your map, revealing all Hemp nodes regardless of your exploration status.

Hemp harvesting points are concentrated in the northwest near Jiwe in the Coast of Africa. Equip the Sickle, necessary for gathering Fiber, and sail to any Hemp node. Complete the gathering minigame or streamline the process by enabling auto-gathering in your settings.

Once you’ve amassed sufficient Hemp, fast travel to Saint-Anne to refine it into Fine Hemp.

Each Fine Hemp piece requires five Hemp, so ensure you stock up, considering Hemp’s remote location. Return to Saint-Anne and head to the Refinery shop, opposite the Blacksmith.

Select an empty refining slot, locate Fine Hemp on the list, and choose the desired amount for refinement. Confirm the selection and pay the nominal fee in Silver.

After a brief process, retrieve the refined Fine Hemp from the Refinery shop item slot to make it usable.
