Skull and Bones: How to get Bronze Ingot

Finally, after progressing sufficiently in Skull and Bones, you’re ready to upgrade from your Rank 1 gear and start accumulating some significant Infamy. Advancing to the next tier of ships, firearms, and more in Skull and Bones entails obtaining materials like Bronze Ingot.

In Skull and Bones, you can acquire Bronze Ingot by seizing it from transport ships along the western coast of the Red Isle or by purchasing it. Alternatively, you can gather copper ore, although it’s notably scarcer than the inferior Bog Iron. Copper ore can be taken to the Refinery in Saint-Anne, where it can be smelted into Bronze Ingot.

Yes, I’m aware that tin is also necessary to produce bronze. Let’s keep things simple; it’s just a video game about pirating, after all.

Where to find Bronze Ingot in Skull and Bones

Due to its rarity, the most effective method of obtaining Bronze Ingot in Skull and Bones is to plunder it from transport ships. Naturally, piracy should be the primary option in a game centered on living out the pirate fantasy, right? Sail to the west coast of the Red Isle and locate the Trade Route heading south to the Hovohovo settlement, then veering toward Africa. This is where you’ll encounter the appropriate ships.

Another option is to mine Copper ore. Head to the lake at the center of the isle, just south of Rova Hill. There, you’ll find two Copper nodes—one on the eastern part of the lake and the other on a small island to the west. Ensure you have the pickaxe unlocked beforehand.

As previously mentioned, you’ll need to transport your ore stockpile to the Refinery to convert it into the ingot required. Additionally, be prepared to collect a substantial amount of ore. For more details on locating and utilizing the Refinery, consult our Refinery guide.

Alternatively, you can simply purchase Bronze Ingot from settlements. The Ankohonana settlement, situated on the southern side of the aforementioned lake, offers the ingot for sale. Alternatively, venture further south to the Sadjoa Foundry. However, be mindful that both locations have limited stock, so the former option may be preferable.

What can you do with Bronze Ingot?

Bronze Ingot represents the next tier of metal material after Bog Iron. It’s essential for crafting the next level of items, including the Spyglass II, Sentinel Cutter ship, and Culverin II cannon.
