Skull and Bones Double or Nothing | explained

Skull and Bones boasts a variety of distinctive world events. While your journey begins with pillages and convoy interruptions, as you progress, you’ll encounter more high-stakes events like Double or Nothing.

Ascending through the pirate ranks in Skull and Bones grants you access to a wider range of quests, events, items, and more. For those delving into the endgame content of Skull and Bones, understanding how to trigger and successfully complete Double or Nothing events to reap the rewards is essential.

How to initiate a Double or Nothing event

Before gaining access to the Double or Nothing prompt in Skull and Bones, you must achieve Kingpin status. Upon reaching Kingpin, you can engage in Hostile Takeover events, which involve PvP battles for control of Manufactories.

Once secured, these Manufactories serve as lucrative sources of gold. Over time, captured Manufactories accumulate gold, which you can collect later. You can trigger a Double or Nothing event by waiting until your Manufactories have maximized their potential profits.

If you wait until your Skull and Bones Manufactory reaches maximum capacity, you’ll receive a prompt for a Double or Nothing event, which you can choose to accept or decline.

How to complete a Double or Nothing event

In Skull and Bones, a Double or Nothing event presents an opportunity to double the gold output from a captured Manufactory. Upon acceptance, you’ll be tasked with transporting all your gold to a random location, typically far away. For instance, I had to travel 8,000 meters from Ankohonana to Ile Michel.

This PvP event operates similarly to Legendary Chests, with you becoming the primary target. While you can collect additional gold along the way, keep in mind that other players can see the amount of gold you’re carrying. Carrying a larger sum makes you a more enticing target.

When completing these wagers, I suggest maximizing your gold by engaging in Supply Runs along the way. Although the destination for each Double or Nothing event is random, you can still prepare.

First, I recommend unlocking all travel points in Skull and Bones. While you can only fast travel between ports, this can help reduce your travel time. Additionally, equip yourself with formidable cannons and artillery, such as the Dardanelles Gun. While you can’t foresee the outcome of these events, entering the pirate PvP zone well-prepared can increase your chances of success.
