Persona 3 Reload | Which lottery ticket should you pick?

The summer festival is a significant event in Persona 3 Reload, occurring on August 16 (6/16) at the Naganaki Shrine. During the festival, players have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw, with the option of choosing a lottery ticket from either the top or the bottom.

On the morning of August 16 (6/16), players receive SMS messages from their Social Links, known as “friends” outside the Persona universe. They are then prompted to decide which friend they would like to accompany them to the summer festival. Choosing a companion allows players to participate in the lucky draw game and potentially win a prize. Opting to attend the festival alone means missing out on the lucky draw.

Should you pick from the top or dig down to the bottom?

Personally, I decided to go with Yuko. Not because I was particularly interested in boosting the Strength Arcana, but simply because I have a preference for athletic types. After enjoying some Takoyaki together, Yuko and I stumbled upon festival masks for sale, where we were invited to try our luck at the lucky draw. Being fond of such games, Yuko encouraged me to give it a shot. The pressure was on as I faced a box filled with triangular lottery tickets.

It’s worth noting that both top and bottom tickets yield prizes, which are gift items that can be obtained elsewhere with relative ease and low cost. However, if you select a ticket from the top, you’ll receive a Kaleidoscope, whereas digging down to the bottom rewards you with a Jack Frost Doll. Kaleidoscopes can be acquired by trading items at the Mayoido Antiques shop, while Jack Frost Dolls can be won from the crane game outside the arcade at the Paulownia Mall. Since Jack Frost Dolls are generally more accessible and affordable, I opted for a ticket from the top. If you’re struggling with this decision, I suggest you do the same.
