Persona 3 Reload | What Are Persona Heart Items?

Sometimes, when combining Personas, you may observe that certain ones are adorned with a special Heart icon next to their skill. This heart signifies a distinctive item (or items) crucial for obtaining some of the most significant late-game equipment in the entire game.

Persona 3 Reload Heart Items Explained (P3R)

Certain Personas come into existence with a Heart item when fused. These items become available once the Persona reaches a specific level, typically when you’re acquiring their final skill. The items range from the commonplace Soul Sea Driblet to more uncommon ones like Jacktite. To check if your prospective Persona has an item, look for a gray heart in the preview screen.

Personas might drop their Heart Item immediately after fusion due to the Social Link Exp. Bonus. However, not all Personas carry a Heart item, and those obtained through Shuffle Time are devoid of them. The required level for a Persona to drop its heart item can vary for higher-level Personas.

Heart items serve a crucial purpose at the Mayoido Antiques shop, where you can craft exclusive, potent equipment for your characters. This includes special weapons or armor boasting superior stats and unique effects compared to other options available at your current game progress, including the ultimate weapons for every party member.

How to Get Heart Items Faster in Persona 3 Reload

Obtaining a Persona holding an item is relatively straightforward, but acquiring the item itself can be more challenging. The quickest approach is to fuse the Persona only after completing its associated Social Link to maximize gained experience. Obtaining the Lovers Major Arcana within Tartarus provides an additional bonus.

Alternatively, if you know you won’t be maxing out that Link immediately, you can re-fuse the Persona later to get an extra copy of the item or obtain it faster due to the additional experience bonus. Ultimately, it depends on your financial situation.

Aside from these methods, another way is to level your Persona inside Tartarus conventionally. Take them to the highest floor possible and make them your lead. If not using them in battle, equip them with a Growth 3 Skill Card or inherit it from another Persona.

During Shuffle Time, prioritize obtaining Personas of the same Arcana as the one you’re leveling, as this grants them a significant amount of experience quickly.

Accumulating enough Personas and Heart Items is imperative if you aim for the best equipment. Remember to do this before the final days of the game, as you still need at least one free day to visit Mayoido and acquire your new items.
