Persona 3 Reload | Champion Knight weakness

In Persona 3 Reload, encountering formidable shadows is common, and one such challenge is facing the Champion Knight on the third block of Tartarus.

The Avenger Knight, a close relative of the enraged Champion Knight, prowls the upper section of Yabbashah. We stumbled upon this adversary after confronting the Controlling and Dependent duo on floor 91 and clearing the floor above it. This skirmish can prove daunting if ill-prepared, so understanding its weaknesses is crucial to gaining the upper hand.

What are Champion Knight’s vulnerabilities?

The Champion Knight is susceptible to Dark Damage but resilient against physical assaults, while it even thrives on Shock damage. Hence, strategic party selection is pivotal for this encounter.

How to defeat Champion Knight in Persona 3 Reload

Having Koromaru accompany you significantly eases this battle as he is a primary source of Dark damage. Persona 3 Reload emphasizes the prevalence of enemies weak to Dark in Yabbashah, including the Champion Knight, making Koromaru’s inclusion beneficial.

If Koromaru is present, prioritize using Dark skills against the Champion Knight to trigger All-Out Attacks, alternating between him and the Protagonist. This tactic effectively keeps the enemy incapacitated.

Although we didn’t deploy Akihiko in our encounter, utilizing Elec Break or his Theurgy abilities could potentially reduce Champion Knight’s resistance. With Akihiko in the party, employing Tarunda to weaken the Knight’s offense or Sukukaja to enhance ally agility and evasion might prove advantageous.

Watch out for (Ma)zionga and Herculean Strike as they pose significant threats. Shock damage can incapacitate Yukari and Aigis easily, albeit Akihiko is resistant. Herculean Strike inflicts substantial damage across your entire party.

By chaining All-Out Attacks and applying debuffs, you may prevent the battle from escalating. We observed the Champion Knight casting Heat Riser after all our characters had acted, providing an opportunity for additional All-Out Attacks.
