Persona 3 Reload | Best Early Game Weapons

Hey there, Persona enthusiasts! Let’s talk gear, my friends. Because in Persona 3 Reload, it’s not just about hitting the books; it’s about gearing up for those nocturnal Tartarus adventures. So, gear up, strap in, and let’s dive into the best weapons for the early game—your key to conquering those seemingly endless tower floors.

The Best Weapons for Early Game in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Now, most of your gear comes from Tartarus or the Police Station early on, but don’t get too attached because better options are just around the corner. Here’s the lowdown on some top-notch choices for those crucial first two months.

Protagonist

First things first, the Protagonist’s Persona steals the spotlight. Fudo Masamune, the best sword, can be snagged from the Paulownia Mall Police Station after the first Full Moon. It’s a stat stick, plain and simple. If you’re on a budget, Iron Edge is a decent alternative. And for a longer-lasting option, the Long Washikazi, found on Tartarus Floor 17, can be your trusty companion.

Yukari

Yukari’s got choices galore. Being a caster most of the time, sometimes a good passive is all she needs. The Toy Bow from Request 12 is a solid free weapon with above-average stats. And if you’re feeling adventurous, the Poison Arrow Bow from Tartarus Floor 11 can carry you through with its Poison effect. Shigetou-Umi from the Police Station is a stat booster without any special effects.

Junpei

Good ol’ Junpei keeps it simple. Juzimaru from Floor 36 is a great early-game weapon. Greatsword and Bastard Sword from the Police Station are straightforward choices, giving Junpei the raw stats he craves.

Akihiko

Akihiko, sadly, doesn’t have a plethora of early options. Bladefist from the Police Station is a pricey yet powerful choice. If you’re into the Fear passive, Sonic Fist from the same place might be your jam.

You’ll get your hands on better weapons come July 18 at the Maiyodo Antiques shop. But until then, wield what you’ve got and face the challenges head-on, regardless of your chosen difficulty.
