To obtain Coal in Palworld, you need to mine coal nodes in the desert, located in the northern region of the world. You can extract Coal from the large, black rocks that spawn in this area.
As you collect Coal in the desert, ensure you equip heat-resistant armor and sturdy tools like a metal pickaxe for mining.
Tip: Prepare for a lengthy journey!
Since it’s a long journey, ensure you have enough inventory space to gather plenty of Coal to take back to your base, as you’ll need a significant amount to make Refined Ore.
The desert biome is also where powerful Pals like Anubis can spawn, and you can find other important resources such as High-Quality Pal Oil.
Coal location in Palworld
Coal can be found in the desert biome in Palworld. Look for black-colored Coal chunks, usually clustered with other Coal nodes. Even with a metal pickaxe, they typically yield only a few pieces at a time, making the process time-consuming.
We discovered a location with numerous Coal spawns and placed a Palbox amidst the nodes for easy teleportation between the Coal and our base, streamlining the process. However, if you have multiple bases set up, be prepared for a long journey.

To establish a Coal farm in Palworld, identify an area abundant with coal nodes, construct a base there, and populate it with Pals possessing mining abilities of a certain level, similar to an ore farm.
