New Chronicle Wish Banner in Genshin Impact

In the Special Program of Genshin Impact version 4.5, HoYoverse introduced a new type of promotional banner known as Chronicle Wish. This fresh banner showcases previous 5-star characters and weapons. While it may seem similar to our premium banner, it’s quite different. Chronicle Wish will periodically rotate and highlight characters from a specific nation. The initial rotation will feature none other than the inhabitants of the Anemo country. This incentivizes players to summon for characters like Eula, Klee, and more. But how does it differ from the existing banners?

Genshin Impact: How Does the Chronicle Wish Banner Work?

Prior to the official announcement of Special Program 4.5, there were speculations that this new banner would solely feature Albedo and the usual 4-star characters. Some speculated that characters would align with their birthdays. However, HoYoverse surprised us by including most of the Mondstadt roster, if not all. This has led players to speculate that this new banner will alternate between characters from Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru, although it remains speculation for now. Nevertheless, some details are confirmed, and we’re here to elucidate them for you, our fellow gacha enthusiasts.

  • The duration of the banner is yet to be confirmed.
  • Players have the liberty to choose from any of the six featured characters and weapons.
  • Once a player selects their preference, they can commence summoning for that specific character or weapon.
  • For instance, opting for Eula may require around 90 summons, which is the pity number for this banner.
  • However, the pity system operates similarly to the featured banner. Failing to obtain her after 90 summons activates the 50/50 rule.
  • The wish count carries over to the next Chronicle Wish, but the 50/50 rule resets unlike the premium banner.

The characters and weapons featured in Genshin Impact’s inaugural Chronicle Wish won’t remain indefinitely. Eventually, all items may undergo rotation. HoYoverse has imposed a couple of conditions for items showcased in this banner. Firstly, the characters or weapons must have appeared at least three times previously. Secondly, they must not have featured in recent banners. These regulations prevent users from enduring extensive waits to acquire Eula or others, ensuring a balanced appearance of various party members.

Thus far, it appears to be an effective method to address the scarcity of certain characters in the premium banner. However, the 50/50 rule for Chronicle Wish presents a challenge. While promising, the community’s reaction to this addition remains to be seen. Personally, we find it an exciting continuation of our pursuit to collect beloved characters.
