MW3 Zombies | How to collect Skulls

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone enthusiasts were treated to an influx of new content with season two, including the limited-time event, Horde Hunt. In this event, players have the opportunity to gather Bones and Skulls, with the latter sometimes proving more challenging to locate.

Horde Hunt appears to be a straightforward event, and I wasted no time diving into it upon entering a CoD Zombies match. I was able to accumulate Bones easily, which allowed me to claim most of the Horde Hunt event rewards. However, I found myself struggling to find an adequate number of Skulls to complete the weekly challenge.

Where to collect Skulls in MW3 Zombies

To obtain Skulls in MW3, you’ll need to target Armored Zombies. While regular Zombies are abundant, initiating contracts is necessary to summon Armored Zombies.

For maximizing your Bone and Skull collection during gameplay, I strongly recommend sticking to solo lobbies instead of multiplayer. In online matches, your teammates may also compete for Bones and Skulls, creating constant competition. Despite my attempts to request that my teammates leave the Bones and Skulls for me, my pleas fell on deaf ears.

Alternatively, you can also acquire these items in event-specific game modes. Although competition may be fierce, MW3’s Hordepoint mode provided me with the most enjoyable Call of Duty experience in years. The chaotic nature of the game mode brought back memories of earlier iterations in the CoD franchise, particularly World War II. While playing Hordepoint to unlock event cosmetics may not be the quickest method, it certainly promises to be the most enjoyable one.

Upon amassing 600 Skulls, you’ll unlock the Tiny Screams Charm, a collectible that may have future applications in the remaining two weeks of the Horde Hunt event.
