MW3 | Best Loadout for the RAM-9 and Attachments

Another season brings another submachine gun to utilize in Modern Warfare 3, introducing the RAM-9. This weapon serves as a smaller counterpart to the RAM-7 from the previous season, and I’ve crafted the ideal loadout for you to test in your upcoming matches.

Best Loadout for the RAM-9 in MW3

  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
  • Rear Grip: Retort 90 Grip Tape
  • Stock: Hunker-5 Stock Pad
  • Ammunition: 9mm High Grain Rounds

In this setup, I’ve omitted the barrel attachment since the most effective one primarily enhances bullet velocity and damage range at the expense of recoil control. Instead, the 9mm High Grain Rounds offer increased range with minimal impact on control, essentially serving as the barrel replacement for the weapon.

For control attachments without an ADS penalty, we’ve incorporated the Retort Grip Tape and the XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop. Both enhance accuracy, with the handstop providing additional benefits to ADS speed. These attachments aim to mitigate recoil while preserving the submachine gun characteristics of the RAM-9.

The last two attachments enhance control at the cost of ADS speed, with only a 15% penalty overall. The Phantom results in approximately a 4% increase in ADS speed, while the Stock Pad and L4R Flash Hider enhance medium-range performance.

How to Unlock the RAM-9 in MW3

To unlock the RAM-9, you must reach Sector B6 in the Battle Pass. This requires 15 Battle Pass Tokens if you navigate directly to the sector, although the exact progression depends on your prior unlocks.

While you can acquire the RAM-9 instantly by purchasing the Blackcell Battle Pass or an upcoming store bundle, the standard path is free. Opting for the standard path is recommended if you solely desire the new weapon without additional cosmetics.

Once you obtain the new SMG, set your sights on the BP50 assault rifle for further progression.
