It has long been anticipated that the newest Indiana Jones game, whose developers Machine Games and Bethesda Softworks collaborated on, would only be available on Xbox and PC, leaving eager PlayStation players out. But fresh information has surfaced, offering players of the PS5 some hope.
Is the PS5 or PS4 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming?
Indeed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available for PlayStation users to play. According to a report published on February 4, the Indiana Jones game is just one of several games that, despite initially being intended as Xbox or PC exclusives, will eventually make their way to PlayStation.
The Great Circle will undoubtedly be available to PS5 owners, but PS4 owners are out of luck as the game isn’t likely to be released on consoles from earlier generations.
When will Indiana Jones and the Great Circle be available for PlayStation gaming?
It’s unlikely that the next-generation PlayStation platforms will have Indiana Jones and the Great Circle available on launch day. According to the February 2024 report, although ports for the Sony-controlled console are planned, they will take longer than expected.
However, the report did not specify how long the delay was, so we can only speculate as to how long PS5 players will have to wait. Hopefully, it won’t be nearly as long as the delays PC players experience when purchasing console-exclusive games—titles like Horizon, for example, can take up to three years to become available on Steam or the Epic Games store.
