How to unlock the Astrolabe Card in Nightingale

The Astrolabe Realm Card marks the next chapter in your Nightingale journey. Advancing through the main quest is crucial, but figuring out how to unlock it can be perplexing, especially since the game doesn’t provide clear directions.

To unlock the Astrolabe, you must retrace your steps and revisit your origins in Nightingale. While the journal entry for the Astrolabe quest offers a slight clue about what to do, it overlooks an essential detail on how to reach your destination. Fortunately, we can guide you through it, making the process much smoother. Here’s what you need to do to unlock the Astrolabe Card in Nightingale.

Where to get the Astrolabe Card in Nightingale

You can obtain the Astrolabe Card by completing the Site of Power, similar to how you obtained your first Realm Card, the Antiquarian, in Nightingale. However, the Site of Power won’t appear until you progress through the story required to unlock the Astrolabe. Once it becomes available, it’s time to revisit the Abeyance Realm, where your journey began.

The quickest way to return to your Abeyance Realm is to select the “travel to respite” option when opening your map. This allows you to fast-travel back to where you established your first Estate in Nightingale, and you should see the Astrolabe Site of Power marked on your map. In my experience, it was located southwest of my camp, atop a large hill. However, the exact location of your Astrolabe Site of Power may vary, as Nightingale generates procedurally generated worlds, resulting in differences between playthroughs.

Upon reaching the Astrolabe Site of Power, your character must have a gear score of at least level 20 to enter. Fortunately, this requirement is the same as the previous Site of Power, so you should meet it without much effort. However, if you encounter difficulty entering, it may be because you’re not wielding the correct weapon. Equipping the appropriate weapon should surpass this threshold.

Similar to the previous Site of Power, the Astrolabe trial presents you with several spawning enemies throughout the location. Defeat them and descend to the bottom, where you’ll confront another formidable foe, the Automaton Bishop. While the boss fight differs slightly from the previous encounter with the Automaton Knight at the Antiquarian Site of Power, your objective remains the same: defeat the enemy to gain access to the Astrolabe Realm Card and add it to your Nightingale collection.
