How to get Poipole in Pokémon Go

Ultra Beasts are among the rare Pokémon found in Pokémon Go, and the latest addition to their roster is Poipole. However, catching Poipole differs from the traditional Ultra Beasts, as it doesn’t appear in five-star raids but is part of the Pokémon Go World of Wonders season.

Poipole is a significant feature of the Pokémon Go World of Wonders season and can be obtained through a unique method, not via five-star raids. Acquiring Poipole requires some effort on your part, and while it may reappear in the future, it won’t be available in Pokémon Go for quite some time, making it a valuable catch.

How to catch Poipole in Pokémon Go

The only way to encounter Poipole is by completing the World of Wonders Special Research in Pokémon Go. This special research is free and becomes available at the start of the season on March 1, running until June 1 when the World of Wonders season concludes.

Poipole is featured in the initial stages of the World of Wonders ticket. To encounter Poipole, you need to complete a series of tasks, such as catching 20 Pokémon, spinning 10 Poké Stops, and transferring 10 Pokémon. Once these tasks are completed, the Poipole encounter will begin, allowing you to add it to your Pokémon collection. Fortunately, Poipole won’t flee during this encounter, eliminating the need for high-tier Poké Balls or a Master Ball.

The availability of the World of Wonders Special Research ticket to all players is a welcome feature, reminiscent of the debut of Cosmog during the Season of Light. It’s anticipated that one of the tasks or rewards within the research will enable the evolution of Poipole into its next form, Naganadel. The introduction of Naganadel’s stats and moves at the end of the World of Wonders season will be eagerly awaited to assess its performance in the Battle League.

Similar to Cosmog, Poipole may make a second appearance, although the specifics remain uncertain. Niantic typically offers Pokémon Go players a second chance to catch rare and mythical Pokémon at select events. Before its departure, players have until June 1 to seize the opportunity and obtain the World of Wonders Special Research ticket.
