There’s an undeniable sense of patriotism in deploying Stratagems to obliterate hordes of bugs or bots, all in the name of freedom. However, not all explosives are created equal, and knowing which ones to use for specific tasks can make a world of difference. Here’s a guide on acquiring more Stratagems in Helldivers 2.
Where to purchase more Stratagems in Helldivers 2
To acquire additional Stratagems, head to the Ship Management area on your ship. Positioned against the left wall before the entrance to the Bridge, you’ll find a set of computer panels indicating ‘SHIP MANAGEMENT.’ Approach and activate it to access the menu.
Within the Ship Management menu, navigate to the ‘STRATAGEMS’ tab. This section lists the 47 available Stratagems in the game, although most must be unlocked first. Initially, you’ll have access to the Machine Gun and Orbital Precision Strike Stratagems.
Stratagems are categorized based on their function, ranging from special weapons to explosive ordnance. Here are the various categories and their corresponding Stratagem types:
- Patriotic Administration Center
- Support Weapons deployable from your ship
- Orbital Cannons
- Large-scale weapons fired from your ship
- Hangar
- Targeted strikes from Eagle aircraft, including a Jump Pack and Smoke Strike
- Bridge
- Precisive strikes from your ship, featuring explosive, gas, or EMS attacks, as well as a turret, shield generator, and Tesla Tower
- Engineering Bay
- Various Support Weapons, field packs, and minefields
- Robotics Workshop
- Various stationary turrets and a “Guard Dog” drone Stratagem
Unlocking more Stratagems in Helldivers 2 requires spending Requisition Slips, the in-game currency earned by completing missions and objectives. Additionally, many Stratagems are gated by your level, necessitating continued gameplay and rank advancement to access higher-tier options.
Pay attention to the symbols accompanying each Stratagem: Green with a checkmark indicates it’s unlocked, yellow with an open lock signifies it can be purchased, while red with a closed lock means it’s currently inaccessible. How to pick your new Stratagems before the mission
Once you’ve acquired new Stratagems, you’ll be eager to deploy them in Helldivers 2. To select your Stratagems, choose a mission and enter your Hellpod. In the ‘Mission Stratagems’ section, indicated by yellow squares, you can allocate your new Stratagems. Keep in mind that you can only select four additional Stratagems alongside the default ones for the mission, so choose wisely.
