How to get cushions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, ensuring your party gets sufficient rest is essential for navigating the vast terrain and facing formidable adversaries. Resting can be done at Chocobo Stops or benches, provided you have cushions.

Having an ample supply of cushions is vital, especially if you aim to preserve healing resources such as potions, Phoenix Downs, or spells. Fortunately, obtaining cushions is straightforward, although they might elude you if you’re too preoccupied. Here, we detail the optimal method for acquiring cushions early in FF7 Rebirth to ensure they’re readily available throughout your journey.

Where to Find Cushions

In FF7 Rebirth, there are two primary methods for obtaining cushions. Firstly, you can purchase them from Items Vendors in major cities, albeit at the cost of Gil. Alternatively, you can craft cushions, which provides a more sustainable and cost-effective approach.

Unlocking the cushion schematic is crucial for crafting. This schematic is obtainable at the Excavation Intel One: Bygone Settlement location. Be sure to explore diligently to avoid overlooking it.

How to Unlock and Craft Cushions

To unlock the cushion schematic, venture to the Excavation Intel One: Bygone Settlement location. I discovered it shortly after uncovering two Lifespring locations in the Grasslands: Grasswastes Lifespring southeast of Kalm and Cragshade Lifespring north of Bill’s Ranch.

Chadley contacted me afterward to notify me of the Excavation location, where I unearthed the schematic using my Chocobo’s assistance.

With the schematic in hand, you can craft cushions at the Item Transmuter. The required materials are four Sage and two Marjoram, both of which can be found in the Grasslands. Crafting cushions for the first time incurs these material costs, but subsequent creations halve the requirement, facilitating easier production in the future.
