How to get Arctic Haze in Destiny 2: All god rolls

Destiny 2 offers a wide array of weapons, and among them, the Arctic Haze auto rifle remains a somewhat overlooked favorite among players.

For those who began their journey during the Beyond Light expansion, memories of discovering numerous Arctic Haze rifles on Europa may linger. However, with fewer opportunities to revisit the icy world, the Arctic Haze has faded from memory for many. Here’s how you can obtain the Arctic Haze in Destiny 2, along with our recommendations for its optimal perk rolls.

How to obtain Arctic Haze in Destiny 2

To acquire the Arctic Haze auto rifle in Destiny 2, you can either complete a Europa Weapon Quest offered by Variks or rely on luck after finishing any public event or Lost Sector on the destination.

It’s advisable to pursue the Europa Auto Rifle weapon quest, as this ensures you receive an auto rifle without the uncertainty of obtaining it randomly on the planet. While the quest may involve various objectives, most entail eliminating enemies in Europa activities. In my experience, I had to complete an Empire Hunt on Hero difficulty and dispatch 50 enemies with auto rifles, which was accomplished in one attempt.

Upon completion, return the bounty to Variks, who will reward you with a randomly-rolled Arctic Haze. It’s as simple as that.

Tip:

If the perks you desire are not obtained, you can undertake the weapon quest again. However, this will require Herealways Pieces, which can be obtained by completing Europa activities such as Lost Sectors, public events, and patrols.

All Arctic Haze god rolls for Destiny 2

While Arctic Haze exhibits a relatively low stat curve for a 720rpm auto rifle in Destiny 2, it boasts potent perk combinations.

For PvE, my recommended Arctic Haze god roll is:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Tactical Mag or Appended Mag
  • Trait Column One: Triple Tap
  • Trait Column Two: Thresh

Arctic Haze is one of the few auto rifles capable of rolling Thresh. Therefore, players running a Super recharge build and seeking a suitable Solar primary should consider this option. Additionally, Triple Tap provides a larger magazine and ammo recharge upon critical hits, making it an excellent choice for those with precise aim.

In PvE, Subsistence is also viable for Arctic Haze. However, I wouldn’t recommend using such a weapon in endgame Destiny 2 activities, as it will deplete a significant portion of the magazine to defeat standard red bar enemies.

For PvP enthusiasts, the preferred Arctic Haze god roll is:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Trait Column One: Outlaw or Killing Wind
  • Trait Column Two: Eye of the Storm or Unrelenting

Opting for Accurized Rounds enhances range at the expense of magazine capacity. Additionally, choose between Outlaw or Killing Wind based on your preference. Both perks offer distinct advantages: If you have a reload magazine perk, opt for Killing Wind for enhanced handling consistency after kills.

Lastly, the final perk is a matter of personal preference. Eye of the Storm transforms the weapon into a laser when your health is low, particularly effective when combined with Killing Wind for formidable performance in head-to-head encounters. Alternatively, if precision is your strength, consider Unrelenting for health regeneration after combat, ensuring you enter your next engagement at full health.
