Dying Light 2 recently underwent a significant update for its second anniversary, introducing a plethora of new gear and outfits, including firearms and guns. However, the game doesn’t offer explicit instructions on how to acquire them. Here’s a guide on obtaining a gun in Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
How to Find a Gun in Dying Light 2
In contrast to the first game, firearms were absent in Dying Light 2 initially, with players relying solely on blades and blunt weapons for survival. This changed with the recent update.
According to the official Dying Light 2 update announcement, “all Pilgrims who’ve completed the prologue will find the Harran Pistol in their stash until March 7.” Simply check your stash in your room after completing the prologue to acquire your first gun.
However, the Harran Pistol is not the only firearm available. Pistols, shotguns, SMGs, and assault rifles are now part of the game, but you’ll need to unlock the merchant who sells them. To do so, complete the Lost Armory Quest at the Fish Eye location.
This quest is straightforward, devoid of any complexities. Without divulging spoilers, once you finish the Lost Armory quest, head to your room in the Fish Eye to find the merchant behind the desk.
Interact with the merchant to peruse his inventory and purchase various firearms. You’ll need Tokens for these purchases, obtainable by completing Survivor Missions and Elite Missions. Elite missions yield more tokens due to their higher difficulty. Additionally, unlocking more weapons in his shop requires completing bounty missions for him.
That covers everything you need to know about obtaining a gun in Dying Light 2. With the new update, expect new challenges and items, so stay tuned to our website for more guides.
