How to destroy Fuel Silos and Stockpiled Ammunition in Helldivers 2

Each planet in Helldivers 2 presents players with unique challenges and objectives. If you’re facing the Automatons, you might find the missions to be perplexing. With that in mind, let me guide you on how to annihilate Fuel Silos and Stockpiled Ammunition in Helldivers 2.

Destroying Fuel Reserves in Helldivers 2

I encountered these mission objectives first on Ubanea, but this guide should be applicable regardless of your location. The Reserves resemble Fuel Silos (pictured below), yet it’s not immediately apparent how to obliterate them.

Thankfully, it’s straightforward once you know how. Near the Silos, access your Strategem list, where you’ll discover an additional option to summon a Hellbomb. Call forth the Strategem as you would for a Resupply station. Arm it by interacting with the panel on the side. After arming it, swiftly retreat and patiently await the detonation.

In my experiments, the Hellbomb boasts a generous range, so it should be effective even if it’s not placed directly against the Silo walls. As expected, this Strategem has a considerable blast radius, so ensure you maintain a safe distance unless you’re aiming to be obliterated.

How to Destroy Stockpiled Ammunition in Helldivers 2

I faced challenges with this objective because I couldn’t discern what Stockpiled Ammunition looked like.

If you’re in a similar predicament, keep an eye out for these piles of shells (pictured below). You can eliminate the Stockpiled Ammunition with a well-placed grenade. However, bear in mind that the blast radius is significant and can trigger nearby explosive barrels.

I’ve observed that the grenade needs to land quite close to the ammunition to trigger it, so I suggest placing a Resupply Beacon nearby in case you miss. It’s also advisable to eliminate any enemies before tackling the mission, as they can pose a significant threat during your escape.
