You find yourself thrust into a Cold War scenario, subjected to involuntary brainwash testing trials. Success grants you the opportunity to endure further tasks, risking life and limb in the name of experimentation. How many trials and levels can you withstand in The Outlast Trials?
Initially offering three maps during early access, the game now boasts a total of five maps with its official 1.0 release. The addition of two more maps intensifies the challenge for test subjects, necessitating two additional escapes from hellish scenarios.
How Many Maps and Levels Does The Outlast Trials Have?

Each map features two primary trials, serving as the main objectives for escaping from Mother Gooseberry or Leland Coyle. Upon completion of these main trials, a final objective awaits, marking the conclusion of the mission and a return to base. However, the challenges don’t end there. After completing a run in any of the levels, you’ll encounter two additional missions, presenting harder versions of the initial trials.
In total, The Outlast Trials offers five maps and 25 trials. It’s worth noting that while only the two main missions are labeled as trials in the game menu, all challenges are considered trials by the characters.
With the full release version 1.0, console players can now also delve into the horror of these trials on their PlayStation and Xbox devices. However, it’s regrettable that amidst the five maps, only two main villains are encountered. Perhaps future updates will introduce more blood-curdling psychos to chase the players.
The Outlast Trials is currently available to play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
