Helldivers 2 | Unlock Premium Warbonds Without Spending a Cent

Helldivers 2 stirred considerable attention upon its release with a “premium” progression option, featuring cosmetics and weapon side-grades. Is it pay-to-win, or are there alternative ways to acquire everything in-game?

How Earn Super Credits In-Game

The primary source of Super Credits is the “Helldivers Mobilize” Warbond pass. Additionally, Super Credits can be discovered in downed supply pods, bunkers, and sealed containers on the planet, albeit with a chance ranging from 10 to 20 per resource.

The free Warbond pass is accessible from the game’s outset and advances through earning Medals. These are awarded for completing Operation missions, exploring planets, and completing Daily tasks. Completion of the free Warbond yields 800 Super Credits, nearly enough to acquire the premium Warbond, priced at 1000 Super Credits.

Additional Super Credits can be found in other resources mentioned earlier. Look out for orange beacons while exploring, indicating points of interest with Medals, Samples, Super Credits, or weapons. Discovering a planet’s Radar Station highlights all points of interest, with diamond icons on the map representing potential Super Credit sources. It may be worthwhile to detour to these locations if you have extra mission time.

It’s also notable that the premium Warbond, “Steeled Veterans,” grants an additional 300 Super Credits upon completion. However, the premium path entails more grinding than the free option. Since both paths utilize the same currency (Medals), it’s advisable to progress through the premium pass after completing the free one.
