No, the Jar 5 Dominator isn’t a worthwhile investment in Helldivers 2. The weapon suffers from several notable drawbacks, including a low magazine capacity, significant recoil, and lengthy reload time. Additionally, its slow bullet velocity and lackluster damage further diminish its effectiveness.
However, this doesn’t render the Jar 5 Dominator entirely useless. While it may not rank high on my personal list of preferred weapons, I still found utility in using it to engage distant elite adversaries. Achieving headshots with this weapon can be satisfying, but it’s evident that significant improvements are necessary for it to become more versatile.
Regardless of whether you opt for the Jar 5 Dominator or not, you’ll eventually unlock all Helldivers 2 weapons as you progress toward maximum level. Naturally, prioritizing the acquisition of the best ones first is crucial, as you wouldn’t want to be stuck with a subpar firearm while tackling the challenging missions in Helldivers 2.
