Helldivers 2 | How to destroy Fuel Silos

In Helldivers 2, players can undertake various missions beyond just eliminating enemy bugs on a given planet, including the objective to locate and demolish Fuel Silos, which are pivotal for advancing in the game.

Fuel Silos represent formidable structures encountered throughout Helldivers 2, characterized by their robust construction that makes them difficult to destroy. Typical armaments like grenades or rocket launchers are insufficient to bring these down. This guide will enlighten you on the process to demolish Fuel Silos in Helldivers 2.

The best way to destroy Fuel Silos

Through my experience, the most effective method to obliterate Fuel Silos involves deploying a Hell Bomb via your Super Destroyer in Helldivers 2. These Hell Bombs are specially provided as an extra, no-cost Stratagem for relevant missions. Notably, Hell Bombs can only be deployed within the vicinity of your targeted objective.

Upon summoning a Hell Bomb, it will arrive exactly where called and must be activated manually, akin to operating a terminal. Once you’ve entered the activation code, a brief period is available to distance yourself from the impending explosion. Given their extensive blast radius, positioning the Hell Bomb near a Fuel Silo is crucial.

Should the initial detonation fail to destroy the target, there’s no cause for concern as more Hell Bombs can be summoned without limit until you achieve your goal.

In Helldivers 2, Fuel Silos are often guarded by automated defenses determined to safeguard them. During one mission, my team managed to eliminate surrounding threats before deploying the Hell Bomb, though enemy automatons persistently assaulted us. After the detonation, we swiftly addressed remaining objectives, benefiting from a well-coordinated team found through matchmaking. Additionally, we discovered several hidden spots rewarding us with extra Warbond Medals.

Following the successful detonation of a Hell Bomb at a Fuel Silo’s base, the mission objective will vanish from your display in Helldivers 2, allowing you to proceed with further tasks or extract from the mission to pursue other directives on behalf of Super Earth.
