In Granblue Fantasy Relink, certain chests can only be unlocked with matching keys, and Gold Keys are just one type you can acquire. However, obtaining Gold Keys can be somewhat challenging, as it requires completing a specific Side Quest.
Depending on your progress in Granblue Fantasy Relink, you may not have access to Gold Keys yet. Once you gain access to the appropriate Side Quest, be prepared to confront a Cobra, which can pose a threat with its poison if your party isn’t adequately prepared.
How to get Gold Keys in Granblue Fantasy Relink
After reaching Chapter 8 in the Granblue Fantasy Relink story, you should unlock the Out of Serpentine Spite Side Quest from an NPC known as the Adventurer’s Partner in Seedhollow. In this Side Quest, your objective is to eliminate a single Cobra from any other quest to motivate an adventurer on the brink of retirement due to frustration with the creature.
There are various ways to fulfill this requirement, but the Rilla Done Did It quest, which you can obtain from the Quest Counter, is only of Normal difficulty. Any quest featuring a Cobra will suffice, but this is the simplest method to obtain your Gold Key, especially with the right party setup.
Once you acquire your Gold Key, you can unlock any Gold Chests you come across. Specifically, there are at least two chests located in Seedhollow—one near the docks and another closer to the Seedhollow castle gates. Both can be opened using the Gold Key. Additionally, you’ll encounter Silver and Whitewing Keys during your journey, which unlock corresponding chests throughout the game.
