Foamstars | How to get and use Bubble Gems

Bubble Gems play a significant role in Foamstars, offering valuable buffs to your characters. However, the game doesn’t provide clear instructions on this system. Allow me to clarify how to obtain and utilize Bubble Gems in Foamstars.

What are Bubble Gems

Bubble Gems provide bonuses to your characters, and you can activate three at a time. Access each character’s Bubble Gems in the Customization menu, accessible via the City Map or by speaking to the VIP Guest Service Duck at the stage in the back of the City.

It’s worth noting that Bubble Gems are not shared between characters. Therefore, it’s advisable to refrain from using Bubble Gems until you’ve experimented with all characters and settled on a favorite.

Each character can equip up to three sets of Bubble Gems, although acquiring a single good set may take some time.

How do Bubble Gems work?

You can activate up to three Bubble Gems as part of a set, each requiring Energy Stones to create. Bubble Gems are randomly obtained and range in grade from E to S. While you can have three active Bubble Gems, duplicate effects cannot be stacked. For instance, you cannot have three ‘Movement Speed Up’ bonuses in a set.

Bubble Gems can be rerolled for a chance at better bonuses, with the option to retain the original if preferred.

Here’s the catch: the first Bubble Gem in a set costs 1 Energy Stone to acquire or reroll. Subsequent slots are more expensive, with the 2nd slot costing two per action and the final slot costing three. It’s more cost-effective to invest in a high-quality first stat before attempting to improve the remaining slots.

Additionally, there’s a ‘mercy’ system for Bubble Gem rarity. At the bottom of the ‘Available Effects’ box, you’ll see how many Gems must be created before obtaining a guaranteed S rank. While this system can be beneficial, the specific effect earned remains entirely random.

Where can I get Energy Stones?

The Energy Stone supply appears limited initially, but you’ll receive some upon reaching Level 5 and Level 10. Additionally, they can be obtained in the battle pass, though it may take time to reach the necessary level.
