Upon completing the Grasslands and Kalm region in FF7 Rebirth, your journey progresses through the Mythril Mines, leading you to the new region of Junon. Junon boasts various points of interest, including Remnawave towers, a Protorelic, a new Summon Materia, and more. However, before delving into these new experiences, obtaining the Chocobo Belle in the region becomes essential. Although Piko remains in the Grasslands, acquiring Belle is crucial for accessing areas unreachable by other means. Here’s where to find Belle the Chocobo in the Junon region of FF7 Rebirth.
Where is Belle the Chocobo in Junon?
Belle the Chocobo can be found in the western part of the Junon region, before reaching the city of Junon itself. Positioned on a small cliffside overlooking the ocean to the west, Belle awaits.
Referencing the map provided, Belle’s location is highlighted in orange. For newcomers to Junon, coming from the Mythril Mine, head north along the road, then proceed directly west to encounter Belle.
Notably, the Seabreeze Tower, one of the five Remnawave Towers in Junon, also reveals Belle’s location, marked by two Chocobo footprints.
How to catch Belle the Chocobo in FF7 Rebirth
Belle is guarded by several Chocobos compared to Piko. Additionally, the absence of tall grass complicates hiding. However, utilizing powered rail carts on the rail tracks can provide cover. Fortunately, Chocobos aren’t alarmed by moving objects unless they’re human.
Rail Cart #1
Approach the first rail cart and activate it by holding Triangle at the switch. Stick behind it as it moves along the track, bypassing the initial Chocobos. Once it halts, locate the adjacent switch.
Rail Cart #2
Flip the switch, then observe another rail cart with a green light moving along the track to your left. Position yourself accordingly, and when the cart stops, gather rocks and position behind it.
Throw a rock at the switch you flipped earlier to set the cart in motion. Stay alongside the cart to remain hidden from the Chocobos.
Final Rail Cart
Collect additional rocks, then position yourself behind the final rail cart located to your left. Throw a rock at the distant switch, and quickly move alongside the cart as it approaches Belle.
These Chocobos are persistent and unaffected by distractions. Ensure the rail cart serves as a barrier between you and them. As you approach Belle, maintain your concealment until you can approach her from behind and catch her by holding Triangle, thereby unlocking Chocobo Riding in the Junon region.
Navigating around the rail cart and final Chocobos may prove challenging. Fortunately, retrying from the checkpoint, conveniently located at this final loop, is an option if spotted.
