During the early access period, Nightingale will not feature PvP or friendly fire, as stated in the multiplayer overview on the official website. By default, encountering other players in your game will not be possible unless your Realm is set to “Public” or you are part of a co-op party.
However, the possibility of PvP in the full release of Nightingale has not been entirely ruled out by developers Inflexion Games.
Could Nightingale have PvP in the future?
Given Nightingale’s focus as a PvE survival crafting game, the absence of PvP in the initial phase is unsurprising. Yet, the early access period, scheduled for six months to a year starting on Feb. 20, aims to test various gameplay elements and player experiences. Rather, it’s been presented as a cooperative survival crafting adventure with a Victorian fantasy theme. Nevertheless, the door remains open for changes and additions, as is the nature of early access.
Integrating PvP as an optional mechanic could cater to players with specific interests without disturbing those who prefer cooperative gameplay—a potential solution to incorporate PvP seamlessly into Nightingale.
