What do Tuning Stones Do in Diablo 4?
Tuning Stones play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of Governing Stones attacks. Each Seneschal can accommodate six Tuning Stones, with a maximum of three per attack. Examples of Tuning Stones include Voluminous Support, Swift Support, Breaking Support, Tactical Support, Frigid Support, and more. These stones are pivotal for amplifying your power, so acquiring them promptly is advised.
Where to Get Unique & Legendary Tuning Stones
Unique Tuning Stones can be obtained by defeating the Echo of Malphas in the Vault of the Loom on World Tier 4. There are only two distinct Unique stones available in this category, and drop rates are not guaranteed. However, acquiring the resources to challenge the Echo of Malphas is relatively inexpensive compared to other bosses.
To initiate the fight in the Vault of the Loom, you’ll need Shattered Stone and Pearls of Warding. Should luck evade you, persistence in farming Malphas is necessary. Eventually, you can obtain the Evernight stone and the Genesis stone, both possessing formidable effects compatible with most Governing Stones.
Earning Legendary Tuning Stones in D4:
- Complete Vaults and open Wardwoven chests on World Tier 4.
- Defeat the Echo of Malphas in the Vault of the Loom on World Tier 4.
For Legendary Tuning Stones, you must unlock Wardwoven Chests within any of the five Vaults in Season 3. World Tier 2 offers minimal assistance in this endeavor. It’s recommended to traverse the Vaults on World Tiers 3 and 4 for optimal chances of obtaining a Legendary reward.
Regrettably, the grind for these stones can be arduous due to trap mechanics. Maintaining a sufficient number of Zoltun’s Warding stacks is imperative for accessing the best rewards, a task not devoid of challenges. Progressing cautiously is the most effective approach, albeit not always the most exhilarating in Diablo 4.
Sorcerer-class players have the advantage of bypassing certain traps using the Teleport ability within Vaults, simplifying traversal to some extent.
