Diablo 4 | How to complete the Lootmaster objective

Challenges in Diablo 4 are unique tasks that require players to fulfill specific objectives or actions a certain number of times. One of these challenges is Lootmaster, which has presented various difficulties for players attempting to complete it.

The challenges in Diablo 4 vary greatly in difficulty and are integrated into every aspect of the game. Even without actively pursuing these achievements, players often encounter them while progressing through the game. In addition to a sense of accomplishment, completing challenges can also unlock aesthetic rewards such as titles.

Lootmaster is a challenge that has proven to be particularly challenging for players for several reasons. If you’re aiming to obtain this title in Diablo 4, here’s what you need to do.

How to complete Lootmaster in Diablo 4

To complete the Lootmaster challenge in Diablo 4, you must open 10 Tortured Gifts during a single Helltide event. Helltides are global events where demonic incursions occur over specific areas of Sanctuary, offering opportunities to clear them out for substantial loot rewards.

To open chests during a Helltide event, you need to collect Cinders. While players are often drawn to chests relevant to their current level of content, such as Living Steel chests, these may be more costly to open and require additional farming. Given the urgency of obtaining the Lootmaster title, it’s advisable to focus on opening regular Tortured Chests, which only cost 250 Cinders.

Since Helltides typically last about an hour, actively pursuing the cheaper Tortured Chests during the event should enable you to swiftly complete this challenge.

Lootmaster Bug in Diablo 4

Players have frequently encountered issues with the Lootmaster challenge in Diablo 4 since its release. Many players have reported being unable to unlock the challenge despite opening 10 or more Tortured Gifts. Currently, this appears to be a common problem affecting PC players.

If you encounter this issue, it’s recommended to restart Diablo 4 before participating in the next Helltide event. As of now, there is no confirmed solution for this bug, and it remains unclear if Blizzard is aware of or addressing the issue. For the time being, players can only hope that their efforts during the next Helltide event will count toward completing this challenge.
