Destiny 2 | How to get the Luminous Void Shader

Reiterating a familiar sentiment, the fashion aspect remains a significant component in Destiny 2. Despite its comparatively constrained transmog system, the game offers avenues for personalization, with shaders playing a pivotal role. Among them, the Luminous Void Shader stands out as an eye-catching choice, elevating a Guardian’s appearance. Here’s the scoop on obtaining it.

Locating the Luminous Void Shader in Destiny 2

As of the latest update, the Luminous Void Shader periodically surfaces in the Eververse’s rotating inventory. With no predictable pattern, players must keep a watchful eye to seize the opportunity to acquire this distinct shader. Upon its availability, the Shader can be purchased for 300 Bright Dust.

Initially, the Luminous Void Shader debuted as part of the Volatile Throne Bundle, which carried a price tag of 1000 Silver (approximately $10). Alongside the Shader, the bundle included the Infinite Quiver Weapon Ornament for Le Monarque and the Platonic Projection Ghost Projection.

Upon its release during Season of the Witch in August 2023, the bundle sparked mixed reactions within the community. While lauded for its visual appeal, criticism arose due to the perceived high cost for a Shader.

Bungie had previously tested a similar approach with the Bad Ahamkara Bundle in February 2023 during Season of Defiance. With the apparent success of this strategy, the studio continued to explore similar bundle offerings.

However, in a move seen as a concession to player feedback, Bungie eventually made the Luminous Void Shader available for individual purchase at the reduced price of 300 Bright Dust in January 2024. Nonetheless, the Shader’s availability is subject to rotation within the Eververse, as the Volatile Throne Bundle is no longer featured in the store.
