Destiny 2 | How to complete Riven’s Wishes 3

As Season 23 progresses in Destiny 2, this week’s reset unveils the third quest in the Riven’s Wishes line. Despite the introduction of new Mass Effect-inspired armor in the Eververse Store, the allure of Riven’s enticing rewards continues to captivate players.

Riven’s Wishes constitute a series of quests, with a fresh task emerging each week upon the reset. Upon successful completion, players earn a Wish Token, which can be exchanged for Lightfall exotics, Last Wish Raid weapons, or even the most coveted weapon shader in the game. While the initial week tasked Guardians with participating in public events, and last week involved locating Ascendant chests within the Dreaming City, Riven’s Wishes 3 now challenges Guardians to explore Legendary or Master difficulty Lost Sectors.

While this week’s task may seem less convoluted than previous ones, the heightened enemy difficulty could present a formidable challenge for some players.

Don’t fear the Lost Sector

As always, Guardians can access the Riven’s Wishes quests from Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. For this week’s quest, Riven requires Guardians to eliminate enemies in Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. While this may seem daunting, especially for those who have struggled with these activities solo in the past, there are a couple of mitigating factors.

Firstly, Guardians are not obligated to undertake these Lost Sectors alone. Players can assemble a team to tackle the challenge, potentially expediting the process. Additionally, the designated Lost Sector for this quest, Aphelion’s Rest, offers a potential workaround. While struggling with the sector, players can adopt a cheese strategy, focusing solely on eliminating enemies rather than completing the sector. This tactic allows players to set the Lost Sector to Master difficulty, dispatch the initial wave of minor enemies, and repeat the process as necessary.

A quick week for the daring

Once players discover a strategy that suits them, completing Riven’s Wishes 3 should be relatively swift. For the fastest completion, a solo run through Alphelion’s Rest on Master difficulty yields 56% quest completion, requiring only two runs for completion. Alternatively, opting for the Legendary version grants approximately 45% completion upon full clear, necessitating a third run to wrap up the quest.

With sufficient kills within the Lost Sector, the quest concludes, and players can return to Mara in the H.E.L.M. to claim their reward—a Wish Token—and peruse the enticing array of available items.
