PC gamers can now rejoice as Nightingale has entered Early Access. This new crafting-survival game from Inflexion Games immerses players in the Fae world of Nightingale with one clear objective: survival. Described by the publisher as a “Gaslamp Fantasy” world, Nightingale’s meticulously crafted environment showcases the emphasis Inflexion placed on aesthetic quality.
Considering this, you might be scrutinizing your Realmwalker and pondering if the same attention to aesthetics extends to your character. Many players have raised the question – is it possible to alter your appearance in Nightingale?
Nightingale: Can You Change Your Look?
Unfortunately, the answer is no – at least, not currently. Once you finalize your character’s appearance in the initial character customization section, there’s no option to modify it further in Nightingale. Similar to many contemporary games, Nightingale features a fairly extensive character creation tool. The initial step offers a choice among 78 appearance presets, evenly distributed between 39 female and 39 male options. After selecting your preset, you proceed to choose your ancestry, an intriguing customization aspect where you determine the physical traits inherited from your parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents.
Following the hereditary selection, further customization entails utilizing a variety of swatches and sliders. These options encompass skin tone, hairstyle, hair color, head shape, eye color(s), pupil size, and dental condition. Some aspects of the character creator seem to still be in development, and body alteration is currently unavailable. Nevertheless, the game offers a diverse array of choices for shaping your character’s appearance. However, as indicated in a message within the character creator, these appearance options are permanent for the time being. Inflexion intends to introduce support for altering character appearance at a later stage, but such functionality is not yet implemented.
