It’s time to celebrate the Carnival of Love in Pokémon Go, which means certain flashy, pink Pokémon will be appearing more frequently. Coupled with new Timed Research, there’s plenty of content to enjoy—with a few restrictions.
Running from Feb. 13 to 15 at 8pm local time, Pokémon like Oricorio, Luvdisc, Flabébé, and Quaxly will be more prevalent, with Oricorio even debuting its Shiny variant for lucky encounters. Additionally, bonuses like Furfrou’s Heart Trim availability and an increased chance of earning Candy XL while walking with your Buddy Pokémon are in effect.
As part of this event, there’s a new Collection Challenge, special bonuses, and even an Elite Raid featuring the debut of the Legendary Enamorus in its Incarnate Forme.
But to fully enjoy the Carnival of Love, it’s essential to focus on the various research options available.
Pokémon Go Carnival of Love Paid Timed Research guide: All tasks and rewards
The only non-Field Research available during the Carnival of Love event is a paid, $1 Timed Research ticket centered around Spinda. This follows Niantic’s recent trend of introducing paid research in nearly every event this year.
