How to make above-average meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Path quests often involve cooking, befriending villagers, and gathering resources. Meeting the above-average meal requirement is crucial, and to unlock all rewards, you must complete it before the Star Path expires. Here’s a guide on preparing above-average meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What defines above-average meals?

Above-average meals are dishes rated three stars or higher. Any recipe that demands three or more distinct ingredients qualifies and contributes to fulfilling the duty. While four and five-star meals also count, you can stick to three-star options if preferred.

Here are some examples of easy three-star or “above-average” meals you can prepare in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Any puff recipes like bell pepper, chili pepper, or eggplant.
  • Grilled veggie platter
  • Fish pie
  • Carp salad
  • Hearty salad

If you have the A Rift in Time expansion pack, you gain additional options for three-star meals:

  • Falafel
  • Vegetarian dumplings
  • Cream cheese bagel
  • Basil berry salad
  • Pasta with herbs

For this Star Path task, I opted for grilled veggie platters using three carrots, easily obtained from the Peaceful Meadow, as I had multiple carrots in stock. However, you can also use three lettuce leaves for hearty salads or various fish, spices, and vegetables for three-star fish dishes.

Exercise caution when mixing ingredients, as random combinations may result in one or two-star dishes like green salads, grilled vegetables, or different sandwiches. Ensure your ingredients yield a three-star meal. If uncertain, experiment with different options or add an extra ingredient to enhance your chances of creating a higher-quality dish.

Once you’ve prepared enough above-average meals to fulfill the duty, claim the objective to earn Star Path points. These points can then be used in the Star Path’s reward list to acquire cosmetics or Moonstones before the event timer expires.
