How to change outfits in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Having the option to customize your character’s appearance adds an enjoyable dimension to gaming. In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, while you can’t alter your character’s physical features, you do have the freedom to change their outfits.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth | How to Change Outfits

The ability to change outfits unlocks once you arrive at Costa del Sol in Chapter Six of FF7 Rebirth’s main storyline. Before accessing the Changing Booth, you’ll need to complete a couple of quests, such as:

  • Finding lodging.
  • Participating in mini-games to earn companion cards using your lucky ticket number seven.

Once you’ve acquired a companion card, head to the Companion Card Shop Attendant to exchange it for beachwear for Cloud. With the beachwear in hand, you’ll unlock the Changing Booths, conveniently located in Costa del Sol and other major settlements, including Chocobo Ranches. Identifiable by their distinctive map icon resembling an outfit rack, these Changing Booths are integral to customization in FF7 Rebirth.

To change your outfit at a Changing Booth:

  • Approach the Changing Booth and interact with the door to open it.
  • From the options displayed on the left of your character, select your desired outfit.
  • Wait for your character to change into the chosen outfit and then exit the booth.

Once attired in your beachwear, you can proceed to the beach and continue with the main story. As you progress through the campaign, you’ll unlock additional outfits, which you can easily switch between by returning to a Changing Booth and following the same steps. It’s worth noting that these outfits are typically restricted to specific regions and events during gameplay. However, post-campaign completion, you’ll have the freedom to replay chapters while sporting any unlocked outfit.
