How to complete Livestock’s Bane in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

While journeying through Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll encounter numerous side quests, offering opportunities to delve deeper into the game’s expansive world. One such quest worth completing is Livestock’s Bane, especially when exploring the Grasslands region.

Livestock’s Bane emerges as one of the initial side quests, providing insight into Red XIII, a significant party member introduced towards the latter stages of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Navigating through Livestock’s Bane is relatively straightforward until you confront the quest’s final challenge, the White Terror.

All Livestock’s Bane quest steps

The Livestock’s Bane quest becomes available upon your return to Kalm, accessed through the Community Board shortly after unlocking Chocobos in FF7 Rebirth. Your task involves heading to Oliver’s Farm, situated east of Kalm.

Upon arrival, Oliver informs you of a local fiend plaguing his livestock. Red XIII volunteers to investigate, prompting you to explore the latest attack site with Red XIII. However, his olfactory senses prove insufficient, necessitating the use of a Chocobo to pick up the trail. The Chocobo guides you and Red XIII to the White Terror’s lair on the Grasslands coast, east of Oliver’s Farm. Confronting the creature requires collective effort from your party, and it won’t be a simple encounter. I suggest resting at a Chocobo Stop with a cushion before engaging.

How to beat the White Terror

The confrontation with the White Terror begins upon nearing its lair in FF7 Rebirth. It’s advisable to equip at least one party member with the Assess Materia to identify the creature’s weaknesses, resistances, and immunities. Unfortunately, the White Terror exhibits no particular weaknesses and is impervious to Fire attacks. You can employ a variety of attacks against it, offering flexibility in combat strategy.

However, a crucial aspect of battling the White Terror is its gradual accumulation of energy throughout the encounter. Attacking or blocking its assaults can dissipate this energy, causing it to weaken. Once depleted, the White Terror may become pressured, potentially allowing your party to Stagger it.

It’s essential to maintain relentless offense and evade its attacks effectively during the battle with your FF7 Rebirth party. Aside from offensive maneuvers, there are minimal tactical considerations to ponder.

Upon vanquishing the White Terror, return to Oliver’s farm to claim your reward, the Owl Bracer. Additionally, your bond with Red XIII strengthens for the remainder of your FF7 Rebirth journey.
