How to get Blasphemous Blade in Elden Ring

In Elden Ring, there’s a plethora of intriguing weapons to acquire, but if there’s one you must obtain, it’s the Blasphemous Blade, especially if you favor faith or strength builds.

How to get the Blasphemous Blade

To obtain the Blasphemous Blade, you’ll need to defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, at Volcano Manor. Upon his defeat, he’ll drop an item called the Remembrance of the Blasphemous.

Take this Remembrance to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold, and exchange it for the Blasphemous Blade.

Blasphemous Blade build

The Blasphemous Blade is notably potent due to its life steal, inherent fire damage, and adaptability in certain builds. Primarily suited for dealing with mobs, its ability, Taker’s Flame, is highly effective for swiftly clearing groups of enemies in a single cast.

Initially, its unranked appearance might not impress, with a D rank across Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. However, upon upgrading it to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones, its scaling improves to C-rank for Strength and Dexterity, and B-rank for Faith.

This versatility allows for utilization in heavy builds focusing on Incantations. While prioritizing most of your FP on Seals, the Blasphemous Blade serves primarily as a melee weapon benefiting from stat scaling. For strength-oriented builds, reserve the ability for dealing with mobs.

Considering its weight, equipping an Arsenal Charm to mitigate heavy-rolls is advisable. Additionally, an Amber Medallion or Green Turtle Talisman can aid in managing stamina effectively.

Although the Fire Scorpion Charm enhances fire damage, it also increases vulnerability to damage, affecting the Taker’s Flames ability. To offset this, consider employing spells like Flame, Grant Me Strength, which synergize with fire.

The life steal mechanic activates upon killing an enemy or hitting an enemy with Taker’s Flames. It grants 4% of your health back per enemy slain, with an additional 40 health. The ability recovers 10% of HP plus 150 per enemy hit.

During overwhelming enemy encounters, utilize Taker’s Flames strategically to regain health. With a well-executed cast, you can recover up to 50% of your health. This ability projects a blanket of fire spanning the width of two bodies.

Due to its fire damage, the Blasphemous Blade excels against unarmored foes or those susceptible to fire. Its inclusion of physical damage adds versatility to its effectiveness.
