Does Nightingale have controller support?

If you prefer the comfort of a couch while delving into the game’s intricacies, you might be interested in Nightingale’s controller support.

While I enjoy using my gaming mouse and membrane keyboard setup, playing games while reclined poses a challenge to even the most ergonomic office arrangements. Therefore, one of my initial priorities upon installing Nightingale was to investigate its controller compatibility, and I swiftly found an answer.

Can you play Nightingale with a controller?

Yes, Nightingale offers partial controller support, allowing you to use a controller for gameplay. However, full compatibility is not yet achieved, meaning you’ll still need to resort to your mouse and keyboard for most menu interactions within Nightingale.

As the developers continue to enhance the game, it’s possible that Nightingale will eventually feature complete controller support. This may become a priority if the game expands to new platforms, such as consoles. Currently, the focus lies on improving offline features, and Nightingale is exclusively available on PC, limiting controller support to partial functionality.

For those, like myself, who prefer to remain comfortably seated without returning to a desk for menu navigation, investing in a long-range wireless mouse and keyboard could prove beneficial. With these tools at hand, you can enjoy Nightingale from the couch with the convenience of controller-like interactions.

Regardless of your preferred input method, Nightingale offers a wealth of content to explore, from tackling challenges like the Bastille of Agility to unlocking Astrolabe cards.
