How to get Twine in Nightingale

In Nightingale, if you aim to illuminate your base and ensure everything is well-lit for bonuses and visibility, stocking up on Twine is essential. Initially, the crafting location for Twine might not be obvious, so let me shed some light on that for you.

Acquiring a Simple Spinning Wheel

Upon your first encounter with the Abeyance Realm, you’ll likely have few recipes to construct items. Puck will promptly educate you on this matter and introduce you to Essence Traders, from whom you can purchase the recipe for a Simple Spinning Wheel.

Consult your map to locate an Essence Trader, usually found nearby upon arrival. If you opted for the Forest Abeyance Realm as recommended by Puck, they should be situated a short distance northward.

The Simple Spinning Wheel can be acquired for 55 Essence. If Essence is scarce, consider wielding your Sickle to gather ample plant fiber. While doing so, gather any Sticks and Rocks you come across. Each of these items can yield 1 Essence when Extracted, and they’re abundant. Soon enough, you’ll accumulate more than enough Essence to purchase the Simple Spinning Wheel.

You can Extract these items into Essence directly from your inventory. Simply drag an item to the bottom right, where a large prompt will appear.

With the Simple Spinning Wheel in hand, it’s time to construct it.

Constructing a Simple Spinning Wheel in Nightingale

Now that you’ve procured the Simple Spinning Wheel, let’s assemble it to commence Twine production. This wheel is relatively inexpensive to build, requiring the following materials:

  • 3 Wood Bundles
  • 15 Fiber
  • 1 Bone

For optimal efficiency, construct it indoors.

Assign the materials manually or opt for auto-assignment, and the Simple Spinning Wheel will materialize before you. This wheel has a single point of interaction for crafting. Once activated, you can immediately begin crafting Twine.

Each piece of Twine requires two Plant Fibers, easily obtainable from almost any outdoor location. Assign the Plant Fibers and initiate crafting, which completes in mere seconds.

Retrieve the Twine once the spinning is finished, and congratulations, you’ve successfully produced Twine!
