World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery phase two introduces a new free-for-all PvP event in Stranglethorn Vale. You can earn one of two new faction-specific mounts if you kill enough players during the Blood Moon.
Before you obtain the Stranglethorn Vale mounts
Prior to attempting to acquire the new Stranglethorn Vale mounts in WoW SoD, here are a few prerequisites:
- Reach maximum level (level 40)
- Equip decent gear
- Form a full five-person group
- Prepare for frequent deaths
To obtain the new Stranglethorn Vale mounts, you must eliminate numerous players during the Blood Moon PvP event. Unlike the Battle for Ashenvale in phase one, the Blood Moon is a free-for-all PvP event with minimal restrictions; hence, being at the maximum level significantly increases your chances of success.
Although being in a raid group imposes a significant debuff, you can still join a standard five-person group. To enhance your survival odds, include a dedicated healer. Expect intense combat during the event, so be prepared for frequent deaths and try to maintain your morale.
How to obtain Stranglethorn Vale mounts
To acquire one of the two Stranglethorn Vale mounts in WoW Classic SoD, exchange one Gold Blood Coin with Mai’zin outside the Gurubashi Arena.
- To obtain a Gold Blood Coin, you require 100 Silver Blood Coins
- To acquire a single Silver Blood Coin, you need 100 Copper Blood Coins
- To receive a single Copper Blood Coin, exchange 100 Blood of the Blood Loa at one of the Blood Altars during the Blood Moon PvP event
- To obtain Blood of the Blood Loa (which acts as a debuff), eliminate other players during the Blood Moon PvP event
- You typically gain around five Blood of the Blood Loa per player elimination
Understanding these steps may seem overwhelming, and it’s understandable if you feel discouraged. To acquire a Gold Blood Coin, you must eliminate an extraordinary number of players. While completing quests during the event can earn you some Silver and Copper Blood Coins, you’ll still need to eliminate many players to progress.
Consider waiting for a patch. Many WoW players have expressed dissatisfaction with the Blood Moon event, and there’s a possibility that Blizzard will release a patch to enhance its enjoyment. Hopefully, the developer will increase the quantity of Blood of the Blood Loa you receive and decrease the cost of the Stranglethorn mounts, so remain patient.
