WoW Classic | How to get into the Searing Gorge

The Searing Gorge stands as a high-level zone within the expansive world of World of Warcraft, offering numerous quests tailored for players progressing through their 40s and 50s, making it a destination worth exploring at some point.

During phase two of the Season of Discovery, only a select few WoW quests are available to players within the Searing Gorge. However, among them, the quest “Set them Ablaze!” stands out for its targeted nature, offering valuable loot relevant for both the standard WoW Classic leveling experience and the endgame content of phase two SoD.

How to access the Searing Gorge in WoW Classic

The most straightforward route to reach the Searing Gorge is through the Badlands. Exiting the western area of the Badlands leads directly into the Searing Gorge. Navigating through this zone, whether utilizing nearby flight points like Kargath or Thelsamar or traveling on foot, ultimately guides you into the heart of the Searing Gorge.

Locate the road that connects the Badlands to the Searing Gorge at coordinates [5.82, 60.44]. From there, look westward to find a ramp ascending into the gorge. This method offers the simplest and most convenient access to the Searing Gorge, eliminating the need for additional steps required by alternative routes.

Upon arrival in the Gorge, both Alliance and Horde adventurers should prioritize reaching Thorium Point [37, 30] to secure a flight path, facilitating swift return journeys.

How to get the Key to the Searing Gorge

Alliance players can access the Searing Gorge through a gate located in the Valley of Kings in Loch Modan. However, this gate remains locked initially and requires the completion of the “Key to the Searing Gorge” quest. Interestingly, this quest originates from a mission within the Searing Gorge itself. To obtain the key, undertake a short quest chain initiated by slaying Margol the Rager, a beast found patrolling the southeastern mountains of the Searing Gorge near coordinates [65, 72].
