Starting Sebastian Sallow’s Questline
As you progress through the main story, you’ll eventually encounter Sebastian Sallow. Initially found in the Slytherin common rooms, he offers his first quest, “In the Shadow of the Undercroft.” To embark on this questline, complete your Flying Class, which unlocks Sebastian’s quests. Completing it rewards you with the Confringo spell.
Opening All Slytherin Locks in Hogwarts Legacy
After lighting the three braziers and unlocking the first entrance to the underground passage, you’ll encounter locked gates and snake statues. Interact with the symbols on the snake statues to progress through each puzzle. Each serpent statue has a torch nearby, requiring illumination with spells like Confringo or Incendio.
When you discover each locked door, align the symbols on the serpent statues to match. Some symbols may be obscured, requiring contextual clues to decipher. Interact with the snake lock and adjust the dials until they match the door’s combination.
For instance, for the door below, adjust the serpent lock’s dials until you match the circle at the top and the infinity symbol at the bottom. This unlocks the door, enabling further progress into the dungeon.
Three doors await discovery in this dungeon:
- The first door presents a scratched-out bull head symbol at the top and a Z-like symbol at the bottom. Its matching lock is found in a nearby room accessible by crouching under an iron gate.
- As depicted above, the second door requires aligning the circle and infinity symbols with the nearby snake lock.
- The third door features a scratched-out triangular symbol at the bottom and a fish-like symbol at the top. Locate the serpent statue by passing through the second symbol door and jumping down the ledge.
Unlocking all three gates enables further progress in the quest, bringing you closer to entering the Scriptorium!
