Skull and Bones | Where to find the Refinery

If you anticipate that piracy will dominate your activities in Skull and Bones, you might be in for a surprise. The game features a robust crafting system, and a considerable amount of time will be devoted to gathering and refining raw materials. Here’s how to locate the Refinery in Skull and Bones.

The Refinery is situated within the pirate sanctuary of Sainte-Anne, nestled among the crafting artisans’ enclave in town. Positioned to the right of the shipwright and directly across from the blacksmith, this area serves as a comprehensive resource hub for pirates in need of skilled craftsmen.

How to use the Refinery in Skull and Bones

Operated by Vera van Wessel, the Refinery transforms raw materials into valuable crafting resources. These raw materials, typically obtained from the wilderness, such as logs or ore, undergo refinement processes at Vera’s establishment. Logs are converted into planks, while ore is smelted into ingots, among other possibilities.

However, the refining process is not instantaneous. You must assign refining tasks to a worker, initially limited to one or two worker slots. As you advance in rank, additional worker slots become available. Each worker can be tasked with producing planks, cloth, or ingots, each with varying time and cost requirements.

Moreover, the conversion rate from raw materials to refined goods is not always one-to-one. It could range from three to even five units of raw material to produce a single refined material. Therefore, it’s essential to review the job card’s details before initiating the process.

Regarding tasks, you have the option to set them and allow them to progress autonomously. Each task requires time for completion, with additional materials prolonging the duration. Consequently, you can set tasks and engage in pirate activities around town before returning later to collect your refined items.
