Helldivers 2 | How to customize your ship

In Helldivers 2, you invest your hard-earned currencies to enhance your formidable arsenal, capable of crushing enemies. But what about the Samples discovered in the field? These can be utilized to customize your ship in Helldivers 2, enhancing the impact of your Stratagems even further.

Samples are typically found near mission objectives and points of interest during Helldivers 2 missions. They start as Common Samples but increase in rarity as mission difficulty rises. You can utilize them to upgrade your ship and bolster your Stratagems. Here’s how.

Where to spend Samples and customize your ship in Helldivers 2

To customize and upgrade your ship, navigate to the Ship Management area located against the wall to the left of the Bridge. Ship Management allows you to acquire additional Stratagems and upgrade them. Unfortunately, you don’t have the ability to customize your ship’s paint job. However, you can freely change its name in the ‘Destroyer’ tab whenever desired.

Once in Ship Management, navigate to the ‘Ship Module’ tab. Here, you can exchange Samples for ship upgrades. The tab features six sections, each containing three upgrades. The cost of each upgrade is indicated in the Price section at the bottom right. Some upgrades require only Common Samples, while others necessitate a mix of sample rarities.

Each Ship Module impacts a different set of Stratagems. For instance, the ‘Patriotic Administration Center’ can increase the ammo quantity included with support weapons. Conversely, the ‘Engineering Bay’ can enhance the effectiveness of Sentry, Emplacement, and Resupply Stratagems. Unlocking the second upgrade of a module requires the first one to be unlocked, and so forth.

Over time, you’ll be able to extract more power from your Stratagems. Don’t hoard your Samples! Gather them, utilize them, and continue spreading Managed Democracy.
